40 miles at 17.8 MPH average speed with Jose and Mike. Actually started a little earlier and I may be mistaken but it seemed the headwind was not as bad. Also more tailwind heading South. I've often heard this and years ago I started early before Gina started riding. She hates to get out of bed for early starts. I would but hey, if I want her to ride, I have to be flexible.
But anyway, the 3 of us set off and boy is it much easier with some help ha ha! With 3 guys we all get our share and made it a lot easier for me. Compared to the last 2 weeks, it was much better. Really felt like the rides last week were pretty breezy compared to today. I'll take it!
Not having much time on the bike lately, it has been a struggle. Heck, instead of doing my 30 mile return rides, I just went straight to the 40 to get my butt in gear. Today, I will say my butt feels much better, less soreness than last 2 weeks ha ha! Last couple were a struggle but today I felt much better on the bike. I was able to do some hard efforts. 2 weeks ago I don't think I could have. But the legs are coming back but I really need some hills. So flat around here and less of weekday workouts. Hills make you strong. I even feel the difference in those stupid little hills, ramps on the bike trail. Feel like mountains when you don't do any hill climbs.
But we rode well together today. Mike and Jose looked strong so it was cool. I got lots of help and actually feel like I cheated ha ha! But hey, I'm on the comeback trail so I will take it!
At one point, Jose said he would pull on the return as he was the first stop. I was fine but on the return, just about 1/2 mile before the wooden bridge at Edna Park, I asked him to back off a step. Boy, I was starting to gasp for air and needed to recover. He did for a couple minutes and what a difference.
Tired but happy. No soreness, nothing making me regret the ride, actually feeling good about it which is a good sign that the fitness is coming back.
I did wear my Fat Bastard jersey just in case I really sucked ha ha! But hey, I feel good! Maybe because this entire month has been cookie and ice cream free. Not that I eat that much ice cream, I just thought if I wanted to get back into shape, I need to give it all up. So no cookies, not that I eat that many, just when we go get coffee, Gina offers one of them big cookies so hey! All this month, watching the sugar and junk food. Felt it last couple of weeks but this week, I feel good. maybe the change in diet is coming around.
Fat Bastard ha ha!

Big Boobs Video (someone actually didn't see it?)
Talking to some gents the other day, they said they don't remember this boobie video!
Strangest thing isn't it? I get lots of shit from posters on forums about such material. I won't freaking lie, I like boobies. But the funny thing is, I'm guessing these guys are fags, some mods like Walter on dot com forums are offended by boobs. I'm guessing he is gay or hasn't got laid in 30 years or so ha ha!
The other bitches that complain are some of the female members. One was that amazon woman, fat ass lying sack of shit Pamestique. Is that big mouth bitch still posting?
So anyway, a few fat ass bitches complaining but guess what!? I haven't even looked at this video in like forever but it has over 11,000 views. Guess what fat ass, you hubby is probably watching my video and doing inappropriate things ha ha! Or maybe he's holding his breath trying to maintain and erection, thinking of this girl while he makes love to you ha ha!
So anyway, give me heat about my material, the guys are watching it! Who's the bad guy here? The dude who records it because he knows he will get more views, or the dude who watches it so he can make love to his fat ass wife? Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Get over it, men will always look at big boobies!
So anyway, a note for you little bitches! And a re post for the guys with some balls ha ha!
Funny, I leave here, go look at rich folk homes on Yahoo, and every other page I open up to look at a mansion has a chick's ass on it. Nudity is here, get used to it. Quit yer crying!

Gina's First Ride after Son's Death
a nice short 26 miler today actually. About 15.2 average speed. I just wanted to get her back on the bike after all that has happened. She did very well and actually I think helped her to chat about it with some female cycling friends, OK friend, Dixie! I'm sure it helped her relax a bit and get things off her mind.
But WOW, she does need some sun ha ha! Looking at her pic I see the difference now. She did get back on the bike after more than a year with the illness of her younger son. We were all expecting him to pass so it was a surprise when the older one died. That is not a good sign of things to come. But she did get back on the bike a few times as mentioned couple months back and was doing well. This time I really had to work to get her on the bike. I know it's tough but she has to do something as I see her not caring about much more. Heck, she never wears much makeup but ask me if I have noticed it at all. Sure she doesn't want to doll up but one has to take care of themselves or they will be next. Sad we are spending most of our lives caring about others and neglect ourselves. So I really worked on her to get her back on the bike. Glad she did, good for the soul!
But she did very well! Of course we just did a nice effort and again, the headwinds are super stiff lately. I'm pushing pretty good doing 14.5 and passing people ha ha! I feel like I am doing a 17 effort but only getting 14 out of it! Anyway it turned out to be a good ride.
At the coast we ran into Jordan, Ron & Dixie. Gina and Dixie did their thing while Ron and I listened to Jordan tell us some stories. Ha ha ha the dude makes me laugh, some crazy stuff but stuff I can relate to. Tony and Thai were there for a bit, a little chat. An old friend Tony who we hadn't seen in 10 years. Good to see him back on the bike.
But one really heavy guy who says he tours rolled up when we were sitting at the beach. As soon as I saw him rolling up I told Gina that was the dude who often here telling people that he is touring in from Ohio.
OK I am sorry, this dude is super heavy. I see a little muscle in his leg so I am guessing he does ride some but not from Ohio, not 65 miles every day, not over the last 2 years that I have seen him there. I am not sure how many times he has ridden his bike to Ohio and back in the last year ha ha! But if someone rides that much, they aren't going to have that big of a guy, I don't care how much you eat. Carrying a fully loaded cruiser type bike over mountain ranges is pretty serious stuff! Heck, I rode up and down GMR for a few months one year on a lighter roadie training for Ride Around the Bear and I dropped plenty of weight. No way, sorry guy, I've seen and heard your story before. Not buying it!

Gina looking down the road thinking, OK, let's get this party started!
Dude in blue, no way! Matter of fact, a group of touring types pulled up. He told one guy his story and he was quite entertained. Then another one of their group walked up and they were introduced. He said, "yeah we met! I met him here a couple of days ago as he said he was leaving to the Midwest, but yet, here he is!". Ha ha ha! Heard the guy tell about 5 different people the story while we were there. Same story, details, very well rehearsed. ;-)
Jordan: It's THIS BIG!!!! :-P
Chick checking out Ron's GoPro
Seen this dude a couple times. He rides up, sits there, listens to us, doesn't say a word but looks interested, then rides off after 20 minutes or so.
This is how stiff the headwind was today. Even the chicks had to hold onto their hats!

Blinding Migraine Solo 40
Man, that sucks! Got to the beach and 5 minutes later I'm blind. So had to wait 30 minutes before I could see again . Last 12 were a bit suck but I survived. Managed 40 miles at 16.1 average speed. Not bad I guess considering the stiff headwind on the way to the beach.
I planned to ride alone but once I passed 2 guys riding, they hopped on my wheel. So I pulled for a bit then let them take a turn. One guy was really steady so that was cool. But the other would lift the pace by 2 miles or so then slow. A bit too unsteady for me so I turned off when I saw a chance ha ha. Little too scary and I surely don't want to get hurt.
But anyway I survived and hoping to get Gina out there tomorrow Sunday! :-)
I managed a selfie and just happy I didn't puke all over my bike ha ha!

44 miles, ouch!
Haven't done many long rides lately and with all the time I have off on the bike, I was thinking another 30 miler. But screw it, go for the 44 to Yorba park! Can't help, yeah it did ha ha!
I had planned to ride alone but as soon as I approached the trail, Mike rode by. He stopped and asked if he could ride with me. yeah sure, but I ain't cranking it up, just trying to make the distance.
Been off the bike for another month and a half. Hoping to get back on but I know no good is still on it's way. Gina's younger son was in the hospital last year for 6 straight months. But somehow pulled through. So it was a shocker that her older son passed away as he seemed in better health. So I know once I get rolling again, we may be in for another funeral.
The last couple of years has been hell, actually about the last 7. Nothing but hospitals. Trying to get on the bike has been a challenge. I have managed some but it is one thing after another. Sadly we spend so much time trying to keep up with sick family, Gina's sons, my Mom that I have this feeling I'll spend my life helping and caring for other people then when it is my time to ride, I'll have a stroke. It's been rough trying to take care of myself with all that goes on but that's life. I've been after Gina as well. I realize things are bad but if we just lay down, we'll be next, real soon! So I did manage to talk her into getting back on the bike in June but geeze, her aunt from New Mexico is stopping by Gina's mother for a quick visit so she wanted to go. Go ahead but damn it, I'm riding my bike. I'm getting tired of people getting in my way. Done a ton of construction, remodeling, landscaping, whatever you want to call it on my Mom's house. Just painted and cleaned up another room so I'm freaking riding my bike. I need some "help me stay healthy time"!
I'm either doing 44 or GMR. GMR would only be 8, maybe 12 miles depending on how I felt but after a month off, I thought that might kill me so I chose the long ride on the trail since I had a chance to ride alone at my pace. Mike did show up but we rode side by side and held the pace down so that I'd survive ha ha! But GMR, I am coming. With the time restrictions, all that is going on, I may need to do GMR getting the best workout of my time.
So Mike shows up as soon as my front tire hits the trail. He asks if he can ride along, sure! We rode side by side and chatted the entire way. Once we hit Moon Park he turned back with a plan of 62 miles or so. He already gone to Green River and doubled back when we met at the fire station.
I wanted a solo ride but kind of glad I had Mike for a couple of minutes. Near the soccer field the wind really kicked up. I don't draft much but this time I hopped on Mike's wheel for a couple of minutes as it seemed he might pull away. Matter of fact, I hopped on his wheel a second time about 1 mile later. But Moon Park was coming up so as soon as I felt good, I took the front and finished off the pull. Mike said it was good as he was heading back to Yorba Park.
See ya! I headed off alone and yeah, it got windy ha ha! But actually I felt pretty good most of the way, better than I expected. But on the return, I was tired. Not real tired but tired enough to know I had to conserve so I didn't try to push. But I'll be, the freaking wind was at my face again! Maybe it's just that I had been off the bike too long and it felt like it ha ha!
I thought I would have 44 miles so I figured that was good. But then the leg cramped! My hamstring on my right leg. Dang it! So I clicked out and pedaled one leg for a bit, wanted to keep moving.
I was still about 5 miles out from the finish. I backed off the pedals but then the left leg cramped. SHEOT! I soft pedaled for a bit figuring it would go away and it did after a bit. So I'm good as I am concentrating on my right leg to avoid stressing out the left leg. Then the quad on my right leg goes!
Crap! Bu they you know what, I once cramped at the bottom of Ride Around the Bear one year when we started with showers and I had no leg covers figuring it was Summer. Got me on that one ha ha! But that was about 10 miles into the ride that I cramped and I finished the ride just fine. So the traikl, can't be that bad and it wasn't. Sure enough the cramps went away once I soft pedaled a bit.
I had 43.6 miles at the end of the ride and dammit, I want the 44 so I kept going a little beyond my finish point to get the 44. Once I did I turned around and started to head back but my leg cramped again. I got off the bike to see if it would go away but both legs cramped ha ha! Oh well, take the pain!
Just then I saw Ron and Dixie rolling up. They stopped and we chatted a bit about our live's situations. Good little chat and long enough to allow the cramps to go away ha ha!
Well I made it, took the highroad, suffered a little but I made it!
Oh, I forgot to bitch! I really get tired of reading stupid driver posts in cycling forums. Also Drivers are out to get us threads. FTR, I follow rules, do what I can to be a safe predictable rider when I ride the streets and I have rarely had incident. SURE there are a few morons who will not pay attention and do stupid things but I get sick of cyclists whining about it because too many cyclists are just as thoughtless, inconsiderate and as stupid as the bad drivers out there.
Today I pull up and park, start getting my bike ready for the ride, at Rampart. I see this dude in a little car, bike on rack pull up. He pulls to the end of the street, angles his car to the right, then as traffic approaches, he makes a big u turn out onto the street in front of oncoming traffic. Pretty much doing a doughnut, in front of traffic, at a blind curve. Dumb lazy ass! If I screw up or need to change directions, why not turn into the parking lot or even go around the block. What a stupid lazy ass MOFO! I'd take another 30 seconds out of my day over killing an innocent family because I was too freaking lazy to correct my own mistake.
I almost went up to the guy after he parked and said,"I bet you are one of those big cry babies on the forums whining about how dangerous drivers are when you're on your bike!". But I have an aggressive nature at times and if I did, the punk probably would have asked for an ass whippin' ha ha!
Then as Mike and I rest for a second at Yorba Park, some dude pulls up, gets off his bike and freaking blocks the entire restroom door. C'mon dumb ass, take your freaking bike in or put it somewhere so other people can get into the freaking restroom. Not like it is a one toilet facility. There were 5 or 6 other people around, other cyclists who had to use the restroom. I just grabbed his bike and moved it myself. I said, "wow, block the whole freaking restroom!". He was walking out and said, "Oh!". I guess he wasn't smart enough to figure out that he didn't need to block the whole freaking door with his bike to go pee pee! Fukking cyclists!

No sweets and down to 120. Not bad not using meds. I need to ride more though!
Ran into Louie and his gang at Edna Park. Always nice to see Louie!
BTW, the chicks are out again for Summer.
Few pics of Ron and Dixie.
