No, Alvino is OK but the rear light isn't. New light, had it for a bit used 2 times, about $24 New front light, a bit over $30, close to $55 total. Just to be a nice guy, never even talked to the guy before, just saw him riding with no lights so I figured I'd be friendly, as I am ha ha ha, and hook him up for safety reasons. I pretty much can see that he can't afford a setup like this though not too expensive.
So the day after I hooked him up with the new front light, bought on ebay especially for him, I walked into the mall noticing his bike had all the lights on. OK, he told me a story that he had small light but teens stole them off his bike. What do you think will happen to these?
I had gave him some installation instructions when I gave him the light, Unboxed it and demonstrated the 1/4 turn system similar to Garmin devices, actually the same system. Showed him what I could and he said he understood. But again, I reminded him, it the teens stole your little lights, they will surely steal these and he said he knew it, that's why he brought most his stuff in with him.
So a few days later, like 4, I went in and asked how the light was doing. Making sure if there were any problems, I could return it and get a replacement. Bu this lights were on the bike. I walked in and reminded him but he said he couldn't get the light off with the 1/4 turn system. OK, understandable so I walked out with him for another demonstration. Ah ok, he got it now!
Cool, so I don't bother the guy but return a couple days later seeing I go to the mall almost every evening to chill. I walk by the bike rack and see he has his light inside with him because they ain't on the bike. So we happen to stroll by the area where he sits so I asked, "everything good?" He said somebody stole the rear light, really?
He says he left it out on the bike and someone stole it, rubber strap mount and all. Ummm OK! I'm very disappointed because he knew what to expect and I expressed my thoughts as well. But tit's gone now! I figure, your loss and I was just trying to be and help out, but oh well, lesson learned.
Then the turns to me and asks, "so do you have another light like the front one that I can have?".
Uhhh, I'm pretty sure I won't have to describe the rest of the story. It was very short and I said, ok, see you later! as I walked away.
Some people, try to help them and they don't act responsibly. OK, his fault but really annoyed me that he would even ask for another front light, I didn't speak to him before I gave him the lights and douubt I'll speak to him again ha ha ha!
The lights.
GOOD 👀 EYES.......
I'm amazed, almost 62 and still don't need glasses. Wanted prescription safety glasses but with the reader/bifocal section for small print. But doc says very minimal near sighted. Not worth getting prescription for $400. Better off going ebay for safety glasses with a bifocal, 3 for $25. Save and eyes 👀 are still good for an old man. 😆😄😆
