Solo 40 from Pico to Seal Beach and back. Real struggle today. Maybe the wind or maybe that I have cut way back on food. More cucumbers, salads with vinegar, no dressing. Small meat, maybe 6 oz at most, cup of potatoes, and dried Cheerios in the morning on the way to work, and half a lemon at break time. No sweets or junk food getting the A1C under control. Glucose numbers are WAY down which is a good thing.
But I may have made a mistake this time. I only ate about a third of the pasta I eat at night before the ride. Maybe I felt it today or maybe not. Maybe just the wind but it was tough. Did get passed bu a small group of riders leaving the coast, freaking more windy on the way back than to the coast. SO it was tough on the return but the group passed me but late saw a couple guys fall off the back about 200 yards ahead. Yes, you can see that far ahead on this trail. I saw the two team up starting to work together.
So about 15 miles later, I passed one of the guys that had fallen back. Yeah baby! Not because I passed him but because it let me know that it wasn't just ALL me struggling back into the wind. He was toasted and barely making his way. So I know it was tough and not just my sissy self ha ha ha!
I did however listen to Paul. He stated a few months back about the DJI Osmo magnetic system. I did purchase a couple of smaller similar doohickies on ebay that worked well. Nice but a little too much plastic for ne having had a gopro fall from the handlebars descending GMR years ago using the plastic gopro crap mounts. So I looked into the DJI adapters and seem they are a bit larger than what I have and a metal base that screws into the gopro. So I'll wait to see when they get here just how cool they are ha ha ha! But one thing is, they sure make swapping the recorder much easier and quicker than having to use the screws every time.
