Solo Easy Sunday

 A Solo 20 miles. Easy spin just trying to lose the snot. Not much today and felt really good. Felt strong and wonder why I'm even sick. 

Too many stupid riders though.  I'm heading south , right at 4 corners I turn right and there are 4 guys on my side, first guy talking on the cell riding with one hand.  Good thing we did collide or I would have had to throw an elbow to his jaw.

Other guy yesterday.  Leaving Encanto Park,  turning from the street onto the trail at the entrance,  a large group approaching the street.  Most in their side but some idiot goes blindly around the group head in with me.  I shout at the guy so he can pull his head out of his ass. He sees me totally shocked letting out a little scream like  Michael Jackson.  Good thing I didn't have to hit that little bitch  either.  😄😆😄

Of course lunch with Gina after the ride. 

 

Solo Snot Ride & Black Bibs Suck

 Solo Spider Ride with Snotty Sally. So last week, seemed my throat tickled a wee bit for 4 days. Thursday the voice was weak. Better today but boy my nose was running like a leaky faucet. 🤣🤣🤣 But felt good other than a face smeared with snot. 😄 Never seen the Santa Fe Dam so full.

So, I ordered a pair of Black Bibs after reading good things. Their slogan is No Bull. Yeah right! 

I ordered a pair,  arrived and very nice. Nice stiff pad I read about.  Being a heavy rider,  I appreciate Nice thick pads . I really liked this pair.

A week later after riding in the shorts, I ordered 2 more pair.  Heck, ill be set for a year. 

The shorts arrived and WTF!!! I opened the package then inspect the shorts only to find the pads I really liked are some shifty ass soft pads that I can stick my fingers through with no resistance.  POS  chamois. 

So I send an email to Black Bibs. Some dude named Jack who sent an email after the first pair saying he hoped I was happy with the shorts. 

So I sent the email expressing my disappointment with these shit shorts.  He says that the only thing he can think of is that they sent me old stock. 

ok  so WTF!  He could have said he would send me good stuff but instead he said he'd send a return label. 

ok  I don't bullshit when it comes to my orders, ill send your shit back and you send my money back. 

what a shitty outfit. 

Really love this shirt.  Wore it to work Friday as we had a potluck.  Lots of women so I get plenty of compliments.  To the mall, woow, 20 comments or so ha ha ha. 

New Stuff

 New Cable last ride but cleaned and lubed the drive train so it's smooth.  New beanie on ebay, $3. Black Bibs shorts,  nice $55 and much better than the more expensive PI I bought couple years back. New gloves ebay, $14. Better than PI poop. Second pair and well worth it to me.  New titanium gel Terry Fly,  don't ask the price. 🤣 Been putting this one off for a few years but finally broke down. Funny, MIL  said the relief cut out in the center of the seat so I could fart and the air would go through propelling me faster. 😆😄😆  Powered by last night's ravioli.

Haven't been able to ride much with the rain but I've been gathering things getting ready.

Of course,  more 1 Mile Wonders today. I caught and passed 2 guys and 2 girls today.  After I passed, the 2 guys came blazing by. One even going so far as to stand on the pedals.  Ok, whatever, pretty impressive.  

So I keep my pace knowing.  A real vet who knows these idiots and their games.  Kept my pace,  watched them for about a mile, they faded even after taking turns sucking wheel.  

I  roll back up on them at my same pace. They look dead tired, I roll by shaking my head. 

of course the idiots are going to hop on my wheel.  I roll for about a minute before I plan to say something to them about being one mile wonders. But we hit a little underpass and on the upside   they fall right off before I had a chance to tell them how impressed I was. 😆😄😆

Too Much Rain but Prepping

 Gee,  so much rain and threats of rain,  I haven't been on the bike much. Shifting is great with the new cable so not wanting to gunk it up, I didn't ride last week. 

But I did take advantage of the free time enjoying it with Gina. 

Last week, all good eating and good times.  Even did a Fondue Date Night   for those of you who watch every body loves Ray. 😆😄😆 Just felt like kicking back after dinner at home.  Went to red robin for an endless rootbeer float.  Fries,  chips, Fondue for only $18, had a good time. 

Wanting to ride the heck out of my bike, I'm preparing for it. Ordered some black bibs brand shorts.  Supposed to be really comfy for the price,  we'll see.  

Then broke down finally getting another Terry fly. My gosh, used to get these for 60 bucks at Performance around 2005. Now they're crazy but like Gina's been saying over the last year  been working and saving,  might as well buy something you want. Took some real thinking because I hate giving in to the price gouging but I'm guessing the price ain't going down anytime soon. 

Though the Charge Spoon saddles I have on all 3 bikes, have been really good to me,  I'm just wondering if I'm missing something.  We'll see.  I'm going to be heart broken if this Terry ain't any better.

Night commute.  I  go in at 7 am, arrive about 6:40 every day.  Still dark.
