Sunday Funday

 Well, supposed to be. Solo 20 miles.  Just relaxing recovering from a cold.  Don't feel sick but man, bones and tendons are sore.  Not the muscles,  but the little stuff around it. So figured I'd ride eventhough I sure don't feel like it. 

So I'm just riding,  stopping taking pics.  When I get back on my bike then pass some dude who rolled by when I was stopped 

Where do they get these people?  As I roll by, he jumps my wheel.  Doesn't anyone do their own rides anymore?

So I told him to go around if he wanted as I wasn't out there to pull people.  So he goes around then sprints a good 1/4 mile to the rest stop. Another 1/2 mile wonder. Too many of these clowns 🤡 around. 

San Gabriel River Trail

 Solo 37. Recovering from a little cold. Didn't feel too bad but the heartrate showed something was up. Did meet a new friend Omar. Cool nice guy. Then Mike that I met like back in 1998 at the Bud's ride. I tired but those guys were fast. Mike did ride with them though so kudos to him.

Scrubbed and lubed the drivetrain on my bike and cut my hair again so I was cutting through the wind today ha ha ha! 

Felt ok on the way up and actually pushed pretty good on the way back. Thanks to a couple of clowns baiting me into some fun. I caught 2 guys, both riding solo. But once I passed them holding my pace, they insisted on passing me back. I guess it was the Fat Bastard jersey that enticed them ha ha ha!

I ended up catching them a couple of times but each time, one guy would stay next to me, maybe drafting from the side. But he'd sprint off and eventually, we just about caught the second guy that I had also passed earlier. But they started drafting one another and pulled away on the dam. I was just beginning to descend as they were already at the bottom. I was coming up as the stronger guy stopped at the red light. The second guy cut across the road, blowing the red light, stupid just to get ahead. He did for a bit but the stronger guy dropped him soon after. They were about an 1/8 of a mile ahead when I saw the weaker one fade. I did catch him as seen in the video. But as I passed, he picked up the pace, OK!

I backed off a bit knowing he would fade again then stopped my recorder. Sadly, I did as 30 seconds later, he pulled off the road. Guess he couldn't take the heat any longer. So I went around as he popped like a cheap balloon dropping him like a bad habit.

You figure, at the top, many guys feel strong with the slight downhill. But once the trail levels out, and the wind hits, different story for sure. So I kept pushing then soon realized, I was catching the stronger guy. Head down into the wind, he looked like he was fading. So I picked it up and sure enough, passed him. Once I did, I figured he'd try to keep up or pass me again like earlier. So I just kept on and soon, he was far behind. Yeah buddy!

I did see the stronger guy up at the top so I know he did at least what I did. The other guy, I saw him turn around at the nature center so I know he didn't even do the ascent to the base of the mountains.

But turned out to be a good ride and actually felt good seeing I had a cold during the week. Looking for an easy ride but the second underpass was a lake, totally flooded and with a newly scrubbed and lubed drivetrain, forget that ha ha ha!

But my heartrate sure was high today. Feeling it I guess but after the ride, almost felt like I was sounding and looking better. Especially with my newly homemade haircut again ha ha ha! Seriously, walking the mall, I see haircut prices for men priced at $45, wow!

New friend Omar, young guy hitting the trails and doing well. Then ran into Mike who I met back in 1998'ish as he was doing the Bud's Ride. Pretty cool, when Mike reached the top of the trail, he rode up and said, "nice job back there!". Did feel like I was rolling pretty good so nice that someone noticed ha ha ha!

Solo 34 Glendora Claremont Equestrian Center

 34 solo with a little bit of climbing.  Thought about a couple miles on GMR but the legs weren't having it today.  😕 

Rode yesterday and chilly today so maybe the legs were rebelling after a couple weeks off. 

But as always,  better on the bicycle than the freeway. 😄

What really tripped me out is some dude I ran into at the equestrian center. He was on a long impressive ride. We chatted for a bit when I said to him that the ride was a really good one. He said all he needed was a good bike and good dope. WTH! Two years older than I so I was kinda surprised. OK so I get it, people smoke dope for recreation but to ride the bike? He said he it eased the pain and helped relax him. I was totally shocked. I can see for medical issues and other reasons but to help ride the bike?

Well heck, I think if I were to take in a few drugs while cycling, something to mask the pain, I'd certainly do more impressive rides pain free ha ha ha! Oh well, I was just surprised figuring most cyclists don't believe in smoking out the lungs. This dude whipped out a pipe and took a few hits. I myself stepped away being downwind, hoping to get out of the path of the fumes. 

Only time I've ever taken anything to relieve pain was the day after a root canal. No aspirin, nothing, not my thing. I cycle drug free. Leave that to Lance and the other guys who feel they need drugs to perform. Heck, Lance is still a hero but any kind of drugs is not my thing. 👊 

Easy Friday Old Fart Ride

 21 miles,  nice easy solo ride to start out the long holiday weekend 😎.  Pico to the Santa Fe Dam and back.  After a yummy late night snack 😋 

Nothing special,  just trying to spin up the legs after 2 weeks off being in Vegas. 😄

Felt good,  windy but nice.

Oh My Gosh, this Squarewheels Forum Admin Doesn't Quit

 SO I used to post on this site but the admin is a dumbfuck!  Last incident, I payed for some things and donated to his site to support it. Right after, he posted a thread that named some members and insulted them, including me. I gave him a piece of my mind not happy financially supporting the site only to be insulted.

The way it went down, I called  him out, he replied,  I called him a few foul names then left telling him to go fuck himself. He did refund my money that I had donated to the site and the money I paid to support the site on a couple other deals.

He continues to whine about me though I have been gone for years. I check in once in  a while to see who is talking shit. 

So I see often that he claims to have banned me. No you stupid shit, I told you to go fuck yourself then left by my own will. Tell the truth bitch! Stop trying to impress your members.

Yes, the stupid fuckers will believe you but those that saw the original exchange would know I told you to go fuck yourself.

Actually it was easy to leave your weak ass forum because you have some weak ass material. Not much cycling and mostly stupid bitches that like to copy and continue one topic over and over and over. Same topic, change the words and burn it out. Parody threads I believe.

So tonight, I go do a search. Someone mentions me then Squarewheels idiot jumps in saying I will never return as long as he's in charge. Whatever you stupid fuck! The bitch continues to bitch about me even though I haven't been there for years. Really?

SO anyway, some other stupid fucks like DennisR. Doesn't know shit about me but posts on the forum as if he is a pro at everything, Actually I get tired of this stupid fuck when I was on the site so I set him straight everytime he opened his stupid fucking mouth claiming to know about me.

For example. Razor member visited California stating he wanted to ride with me or Chris. Stupid fuck Dennis says that he would be more likely to get Chris up GMR on a ride than me. Are you fucking kidding? That's how fucking little he knows me. You know how many cycling forum members and friends I've ridden with on GMR? HUNDREDS YOU STUPID FUCK!

Matter of fact, Chris would verify that I have tried several times to get him up on GMR. More than one invite even stating I'd take Gina as she's mostly slower than most on the climbs so there would be no signs of racing or trying to win a race that wasn't there. Well, he should verify it if he's honest about it.

So this stupid fuck who continues to talk shit out of his ass about me not knowing me, sure has me wrong and goes to show how fucking stupid he is not really knowing much. 

Another bitch I can't stand is that dirty hip. A true friend! Let me put it this way, years ago, I was going to give a Bianchi to a gal signed on as Miss Grace. Good friends with Dirty hip. We had planned to attend a ride up north somewhere, 8-10 hour drive, not sure. I asked Miss Grace if she wanted the bike as she had somehow lost her bike. Dirth hip saw the post on the forums and sent me messages saying that I should not give her the bike as she was a mess. Used by men, abused, can't hold on to anything so if I gave her the bike, this mess of a woman would only sell the bike to pay the way of her man who could not hold a job. She made Miss Grace out to be a really big mess so heck, I decided not to give it to her.

But years go by and all I see on the forum is dirty hip bitching about neighbors, coworkers stealing her sweater, am I right, I ask the members? They've seen the constant bitching. Sadly, poor Miss Grace thought dirty hip was a friend. Sad and as they say, with friends like that, who needs enemies? What a real piece of crap!

Saw this posted just a few days ago. Been a few years and the dumbfuck is still pretending to be a tough guy! I left after telling you to go fuck yourself and deleted the past posts on my blog because you are not worthy. Only when I see you trying to fool your audience into believing you banned me from the site.

Open your eyes dumbfuck, I only post your name here when you piss me off and delete it when I get tired of seeing your name on my post list.

Sugru by Tesa

 Sugru by Tesa. This stuff is awesome 👌.  My rubber hood on my bike was ripping.  Parts (st-5510) are no longer available from around 2005. Ebay sellers want $65 for used beat up stuff. I don't think so, so I did some searching on the net. ONE  guy mentioned Sugru saying it was good stuff.

Like Play-doh clay but starts setting in 30 minutes.  Fully cured in 24 hours. Very easy to work with. 

$20 for 3 small slabs, 3.3 ounces total.  

I gave it a try with nothing to lose.  Excellent!!! Patched up the tear and turns into rubber like the hood.

It's a rubber glue thing. Look it up if you've never seen it. Can be formed into a rubber patch like mine.

Some create little key ring hooks and place them directly onto the wall. Some glue lids or magnets unde a shelf to use as jar holders, magnetic accessory holders pretty cool. 

I'm just happy I could fix my rubber hood on my bike. I replaced them about 6 years ago but can't find replacement any longer seeingvthe shifters are from 2005.

Hopefully with time it will turn more black. Bt if not, it works.

Yeah Buddy!!!! I don't gamble but I do buy bicycle stuff. On sale always being a budget shopper. 😃 I  ordered these cycling gloves on ebay, $13.50 plus tax.  😁 I use Rock Bros brand, good budget accessories and I found these gloves that I've been hoping for.  Riding at night,  I've been wanting something wit reflectors so drivers 🚗  can see that I'm using arm signals as I intend to turn. So these came in the mail, SWEET!!!

 I'm always arguing on cycling forums that cyclists can injure people just as much as a car. Perfect example,  hit and run cyclist. An elderly woman is in the hospital.

GMR....Well a Bit-O-GMR

 Figured I'd get in a good ride today figuring it's supposed to rain all day Sunday. 

38 miles with about 3800 ft gain. Started in Glendora, to Claremont,  then back on Baseline with a visit to GMR.  Only first 4 miles after the gate. Been so long that I would have been happy with 2. 😄

Feeling the GMR stress after the first Mike, I was happy to settle down and make it 4. Oh how we forget the feeling. But hey, it's a start.

I'd actually been getting kind of bored on the trail.  Seems one is climbing anyway so might as well get in a real climb. 

Actually surprised I felt so good.  But it definitely is different. 

Yeah, that's my face after the first 4. But I already had 20 getting there so it was all good 👍
