Halloween Ride with Gina

32 miles at 16.5 average speed with Gina, on a Saturday. My plan was to get Gina out both days. I'm a kind cool guy and probably many people don't know it. But there comes a point when drug addicts and alcoholics rub me the wrong way. 

Never mind, I win, again !!!! 😆😄😆😄😆 Stupid opponents can never win the war ha ha ha! Got the bitches on their knees!

Boy, I never liked riding with a group and tried it for a couple of months. All my suspicions were correct, they suck and are dangerous. Since I stopped riding with them, 3 people crashed the following 3 weeks. One took an ambulance ride to the hospital.

On Saturday, Gina and I were catching up to a group and actually passed the tail end. We weren't racing, just holding a comfortable pace for Gina. There is a horseshoe type turn at one point with a ton of space around it to stop. But the lanes are still marked there. This group had about 15 riders. About 10 still ahead of us so what do they do? The get to the turn and stop taking all the space and a couple even stop perpendicular blocking the lanes.WTH!

I roll through and say, "wow, can't believe you guys are blocking the lanes!". The dude with the hanky on his head looked and me and said,' EASY EASY!". So I said, "there are more than 10 of you guys, at least one should be smart enough to teach the others". ha ha ha!

So Gina and I continue on and maybe 1/4 before the park we stop at, they go rolling by. Like in a panic as if they were making it a point to pass us. I had no idea they were going to stop at the park but it figures, too many people trying to prove something usually pull off the trail a little after they pass you ha ha! Earlier, Gina and I were catching them and passing them one by one so I know this was a show off thing. I let them go by and didn't feel the need to prove anything and I never jump on the back of unknown riders.

So I see them pull into the park and so I pull into the park too. Ha ha ha, you could have heard a pin drop when they all looked over at me as I pulled in. I guess they figure I would try to avoid them. But I got off and the mouth dude went into the restroom (one at a time style). Then he walked out and I looked him square in the eye, the giving him a chance to say something look into his eyes. He looked at me, put his head down and walked by without a word. I looked at a couple of the other guys and looked back at them like, what, you gonna say something? Nobody did ha ha!

But wow, this is the reason I stopped riding with the group. I ride with a small group at times, 4 or 5 max but we stay in single file 99% of the time and pass safely even when we push the pace. We slow and make sure everyone around us is safe.

These idiots block the lanes for a stop, then passing, they all roll around like they're running from Godzilla or something. Idiots, pass safely and announce yourself when passing. Too many unsafe stupid riders. This is why I continue to avoid riding with a group.

Halloween Spider House Upland California

 So no riding today with a slight threat of rain. Of course it didn't rain but had I made the drive to the trail to ride, it would have poured ha ha! So instead I settled for a menudo breakfast and taking a few pics of the spider house again this year.

Few years ago I took some pics and posted them. My blog and Facebook. But a couple of years ago, somebody from FB contacted me asking permission to show my pic on KTLA Channel 5. Sure, why not!? I don't watch tv much and especially the news ha ha so I guess they posted it. They did say I would receive full credit. My name of Mr. Beanz Photography, I'm not sure ha ha! But either way, a compliment just being asked.

So today I took more and figured why not!? Then when I returned home with my camera, I noticed the roses were looking pretty nice so I snapped a few pics of them too!

What kind of wife do I got? Well, few months ago, the Jiffy Lube techs stole Gina's chrome caps off her rims. I freaking started a big stink about and had it out with the manager. Hell yeah, I have no problem getting hot in front of a waiting room full of customers. In the end, the manager ended up paying me for a new set of chrome caps. I'm not a thief or a liar and one of them idiots stole Gina's caps. Only a few months old and someone was going to replace them, they did.

So Gina goes to have new tires put on the car and guess what?! Some idiot forgets to put one of the chrome caps on. WTH! So the tire place was very helpful so I didn't have sheot fit this time being appreciative with their service. BTW, America's Tire is way better than Just Tires. Lat 12 tires at JT with the warranty thing and last 2 times we went in for repair (patch), they said come back later. Dude, there is no freaking later! The tire is flat now. So what is this warranty for which we paid?! 

Last time they put air in the tire and told Gina to come back the next day. It was a BIG screw in the tire and it's a slow leak so it will last till tomorrow. WTH! I told them they sucked then went to AT next door. They  were freaking willing to make the repair for free!!!!! So guess what Just tires, Gina ended up just putting 4 new tires on her car!

I wrote a review on Yelp and got a response from the Just Tires manager. Call and let's work it out. Really?! Dude, second time you guys did this crap to us so guess what, we went next door and received better service without your stupid warranty thing, you just lost a customer! Your stupid little come back tomorrow, drive on a damaged tire 60 miles to work and back on the freeway and well fix it after work trick just cost you another set of 4 tires. And any future tires we purchase and a big screw them if anyone asks my opinion about your store!

So anyway, as I am taking pics of the spider house, Gina takes a new set of chrome caps and goes around the car replacing them ha ha ha! What a wife! Now if I can just teach her how to fix bike flats ha ha ha!

Solo Night Easy Relaxing Leg Ride

 Nice 15.7 miles, easy warm up pace at 14.3 average speed. I actually wanted to do a Claremont to Covina road ride but there is a little chance of rain and my luck, riding alone out there, the rain would pour on me ha ha! So I opted for the local loops. If it rains, I am just a couple minutes from the truck.

My legs were actually still fried from the tandem ride. A couple of the short steep hills, I gave it my all and more and that seemed to hurt! Like I said before, when your partner doesn't ride much, riding a tandem is a killer, especially on hills of any size. I felt like I was going to pull both hammies at one time. But you know, still can't get Gina out on a ride week nights so her riding suffers riding once a week on Sundays for short rides. I know better than to try the tandem again. I did increase the distance some with her, 6 miles and I felt it as her usual is 26 for now. But I will say that I am surprised it hurt my legs that much. When Gina is in form, riding the tandem feels just like riding my single. I don't usually feel my legs pull on a 32 miler so I am going to say it was riding the tandem.

So last couple of days my legs kept feeling like my hammies wanted to pull so tonight felt really really good! I took it easy and just used a nice spin that didn't allow me to go into effort mode. Just easy relaxing riding warming up the muscles. Felt much better after the ride. Just hope my legs don't collapse on me tomorrow or that feeling better comment means nothing ha ha!

I'll be doing another ride with Joaquin on Saturday. 43, maybe 46 miles, not sure yet but a nice relaxed set of legs will help. :-)

The good thing about a nice easy ride is that it is much easier to take pics. At times, going faster on the trail limits my pic count trying to keep an effort while holding onto the bars. So tonight was good, really good for taking stupid pics ha ha ha!

A Little Roy Orbis-see-own Ha ha ha!

Just messing around on the guitar last night so today, thought I'd give it a try. Wow, I suck at memorizing words. Took me like all night and day to memorize these few ha ha ha! Oh yeah, I suck at singing too but just trying to play the song or even getting somewhat close is fun and it is better than playing air guitar ha ha ha!

Playing on the net last night, listening to music on youtubie, then a song comes on and you gotta try it! Hey, why not! :-P

Tandem Fun w/ Gina

 30 miles at 16.3. Haven't been on the tandem for a while. Gina says she doesn't like ride the tandem when she's out of form, it's too much torture on me haha! If you've ever ridden a tandem, you'd know what she means. It does take some extra. Doing well today till we got about her lately ride max distance. I could feel a difference in her pedal stroke. Ah yes, this is what she is talking about ha ha!

But over all a good ride. Not much going on but the pedaling.  Nice day, good ride, nice to be out, that's about it!

OH OH OH I TAKE THAT BACK!!! IDIOT!!!!

So Gina and I are on the tandem and about to reach the coast, right at the bus station looking bench thing. A group of Asian cyclists, using Asian as a description so that others may know who I am speaking of, not because I am racist. Ok, yeah, I'm racist ha ha! So this Asian dude must ride his bike like Asian people drive. Not really, C'mon! OK, maybe I am racist cause it was the first thing I thought when this idiot pissed me off. 

Ya know, the politically correct version just doesn't sound good.....Some person on a bike made a mistake and I had to avoid trouble as if my life depended on both our safety. Hey, that sucks, I like the some freaking Asian idiot almost caused a freaking head on collision ha ha!

So a group is stopped at the bus stop thing, maybe 10 riders. Another 5 or 6 approaching heading North and seemed to be part of the group. 2 or 3 cross over the path and stop as well. 2 stay in their lane at a slow roll of 3 MPH maybe. But this one stupid freaking idiot is in our lane doing 3 MPH and at this point, we are doing 17 or so. 

I start calling out RIDERS UP!!! Over and over but the moron isn't paying attention and doesn't seem to hear my shouts. As I am maybe 10 yards away, I start to stop cause this freaking idiot just stops right in the middle of my lane. I see it but I just let the tandem roll and stop about a foot away from him still shouting. He just looks at me and says, "Oh, I'm sorry!".

Really you freaking idiot? Can't hear, can't freaking see, can't use common sense and figure you'r on a bike trail and maybe there might be a tandem coming? Idiot!

So I just look at him square in the eye and say WTF!!!! He apologizes and Flinstone pedals himself off the trail. He buds all look at him in amazement. Seems half are female, they can see he's stupid too. So I start from a dead stop looking over at him like he's an idiot. Well, I'm giving him the stink eye in front of his buddies.

Of course the idiot never heard me as he had a big ghetto blaster speaker blaring music. And people say that doesn't interfere with riding.

I rolled off with the stink eye directed at him. What I really wanted to say was, "I HOPE YOUR FRIENDS TELL YOU HOW FUCKING STUPID YOU ARE!!!!". But there was about 20 of them and if it came down to a fight, I don't think I could whip 20 Asians at once. Maybe 3 male and a couple female but not all 20! :-P
