Sunday Cruise. 20 miles, warm but nice. Used this little Smallrig clamp thing to clip the cell camera on a fence for a pic. Cool thing, 20 bucks on ebay. Will work with the go pro recorder too. Live this little stuff. 😄
Not a whole lot going on but many more riders on the lower slopes. 81 when I started out and didn't seem to get much warmer than that till I finished the ride.
Then of course, a post ride meal with Gina at Red Slobster ha ha ha!
Started out solo but ran into Swanee, a member of the Challenged Athlete Foundation. Rode together for a bit but then he dropped back. I think he would have been better off controlling his speed. He said riding with others he would do 17 and 18. Heck, I'm riding at 15 and 16 just riding and not racing anyone. Met at Encanto Park so he asked if he could ride back with me. Doing 15 ish but he went around and picked it up. OK, I rode with him but later, the wind hit and he started to struggle. So I took the front and kept it at 18. He didn't last long so I slowed once we hit the trail, after the SF Dam drop. He fell behind and couldn't catch up so I slowed even more.
Soon I was doing 13 as he was about 1/8 mile behind. I tried to wait and soft pedaled but after 5 miles or so, no way was he catching up. Maybe he got excited and blew his energy. Not sure why he was trying to show off, or whatever but it hurt him. I was willing to work with him at a decent pace but he picked it up then couldn't recover.
Later I nearly stopped so he could catch up but he said he was exhausted and having a hard time. I tried to go as slow as possible but he was struggling too much so I had to go. If I held back too much, I'd struggle myself. Felt bad but hey, we didn't start together and I tried. I think he has to learn a little more about gauging his effort and partner. But, it was cool while it lasted.
We are about the same age but he suffered an aneurysm at age 19 after being injured in a street fight. But it's great he's doing something rather than sitting home in a wheelchair like some might do. Good guy, good conversation though. Too bad he popped, would have been cool going the distance.
Nobody up on the upper section above Encanto Park. High of 96, average 91. A bit dry on the return.
Of course, dinner and dessert with Gina and her Mom after the ride.
People are too funny. I post ride videos, maybe 35 views. I post a video with a chick in a bikini and 1 day later I have 344 views. I did it as a test of course. Just like back in the old bike forums days. Bunch of guys asking for bikini pics. From all over the country. I do it knowing I'll get more views but homos like the mod Walter said I need to be in jail for stalking women. Moron, probably the first guy beating his meat to the video ha ha ha! Haven't felt much like bikini videos like back in the day but did this time for a test. Of course I appreciate the female body but just showing how the world works. I get criticized but if I do, I get more people wanting to enjoy the view ha ha ha!
Edit: One day later, over 1,000 views. Probably that mod Walter and lesbian Siu Blue Wind ha ha ha!
Edit: Couple days later, 1.2K views. 😃
Cool! I love these replies from friends on the past forum life. Though many of the forums I visited are totally useless now and run by total a holes ha ha ha! But nice to know I have had the experience of enjoying forum postings with others who still remember the Beanz ha ha ha! Many many riders I wish I had the chance to ride with seeing most were a joy to know.
Beanz- you are a true OG rider! I haven't checked in on any bike forums in years, then your video pops up on my YT feed. So happy to see you still laying down the miles. Hope to bump in to you IRL one of these days (SGRT is my go-to ride, also). Ride safe!
No ride, final day off of the 4 day holiday so I spent it running around with Gina. Food food food! 😋
Breakfast at Joanne's, juice it up, tgen Olive Garden for dinner din.
Fun just hanging with Gina. I'll ride next weekend ha ha ha.
A solo 40 from Pico to Seal Beach. Wow, sure haven't felt like riding lately. Maybe the 4 day weekend, feeling like I should be doing something different, hanging with Gina, I dunno but it's been rough. Had to force myself to get out of bed today. Glad I did but been rough. I know if I take time off, it would be hard to get back to feeling good on the bike. I feel strong but heck, getting out of bed is the hard part ha ha ha!
Anyway, today finally caught some big boobs on the video. I guess I don't look too hard but I get plenty of guys who admire my work when I do so ha ha ha! Maybe I'll have to make a trip down to Huntington soon to get some vid of the hot chicks around the pier now that I have the stabilization go pro.
Anyway, glad I rode and only 73 on the way and maybe 82 on the return. Nice to not have to deal with the 100+ for a ride or two.
Of course, after the ride yesterday, Mongolian BBQ with Gina and her Mom and then today, fajitas and a chile relleno. Plus a little ice cream at the mall, Baskin K.
Looked better in person. I guess a jiggle adds to the moment ha ha ha!
Today's ice cream after a ride and dinner
I think my legs sweat more when it's cooler ha ha ha!
Solo 20 miles super easy today. 94 degrees, warm but not hot. I only drip when I stop. 😄
4 day weekend but I sure didn't feel like riding. So I went easy to loosen up my legs. Glad I did seeing my leg muscles felt all knotted up. This should relax them for a longer or more significant ride tomorrow.
Cool thing, cutting my own hair, decided to buy a nice rechargeable set of clippers and a new set of nice scissors. Figure they've already paid for themselves now that the shop wants $40 plus for a haircut.
Plus I've decided that I'm a professional hair stylist, chef, and freckle counter ha ha ha. At Target, I noticed just how much Gina's patch has gown over the last 37 years.
Plus Thursday morning world 🌎 famous Beanz Breakfast Sliders 😋. MIL loves them for some reason. She's a good cook but says she just can't make them like mine. So I'll take that as a compliment.
Another reason for a short ride is, Lucille's doesn't do well as a pre ride dinner. Good but seems to be going downhill as far as quality. But something different.
