Halloween Saturday SART

Sportin' our orange pumpkin colors today! 44 miles @17.5 average on Strava. I like Garmin's average better at 17.6 ha ha! Few pics for now.

It was Mike's birthday this day. What was cool was that the little group of us sang Happy Birthday to Mike at the parking area after the ride. Nice ride and nice day. We did the 44 miler to Yorba Park. Ran into Mark and Gail at the coast. We did a pretty good pace on the return pushing 21.8 on my favorite Strava segment North Bridge to Bridge.

Had a visit with Rick. We see the guy passing but usually in the opposite direction. Today we finally had a chance to ride with him on the return. Nice fast pace!

GMR Video (Weekend Rides)

Ran into a few friends on GMR. I was able to get some video footage of them on the descent. GMR, Bill, Matt and GMR's female friend (sorry don't know the name).

I still have the SART video coming later.

GMR Solo and Some PR's

Few still images from the video footage for now. I will probably have a video late Sunday eve or Monday morn. ;-)

Well had to be home early for the grandsons's birthday party so I figured I'd hit GMR early. I was saddened that the support people weren't there today. IF they had been I probably would have hit cow Canyon Saddle. But with no water? No thanks! So I settled for Peacock Saddle. I think it's about 5 miles across GRR after the shack. On the way down I ran in to GMR, Bill (Mr. GMR) and Matt.

Bill always has these cool swag thingies. Today he gave me a red blinkie with GMR bike and the 2015 SDSR logo. Being involved with the sponsors of the stage race he's always got something cool. He explains it in the video I'll post later. Right now I can't recall word for word now that my brain is sucking for oxygen ha ha!

Anyway, it was cool seeing these  cool people again. I had a chance to descend with them so I grabbed a few clips of them on the DH. Including a couple of their friends.

Overall it was a beautiful day for the climb. Started out cool and finished with  perfect weather. I was happy as it allowed me to set 15 climbing PR's today. Took a couple more minutes off my climb to the shack on Strava. :-)

26 miles with just about 3200 ft of climbing.

EEEEnother Midweek Tandem Ride

Nice relaxing cool tandem ride around the hood. Getting dark quick now, thank goodness for lights! Usual 12 miler up San Antonio a couple times. :-)

                                                             Yeah it's dark out here!

Stopped for a stretch!

OK About The Bike Forums Dot Net Permanent Ban!!!

I do from time to time check the forum to see what is going on with the locals. Not much ha ha! I have also been asked a few times what the deal was with the ban. Maybe some missed it and I'm sure only one side has been recognized as the "banned user" thread only allows one side. I was banned for trolling, harassment and whatever blah blah blah. YEAH RIGHT!

I will tell the story once again!

The truth is some poster posted a BS claim on a timed event. He posted his ride time from his computer. I mentioned that he should have posted his official event time since there are other forum members that participated in the ride. As the other posters posted their actual times it makes it look as if this guy actually had a better time than the others that were actually being honest about their "official ride" times.

So this wuss took it as harassment! WHAT!!!!! The cry baby went to the mods crying that he took down all his ride pictures and his report because I harassed him. WTF! Dude you are on a cycling forum and any Bullshit you post will be challenged by others who are smart enough to realize you are feeding us bullshit to make yourself look better. PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!!!

So anyway this crybaby goes to the mods and I get a warning. I contest the warning with Tom Stormecrowe, the head mod or whatever he was. I told him the fact we are on a cycling forum, anyone who posts a bullshit write up with bullshit facts should expect to be challenged. Seriously that's life and if you can' t take it, go take up tennis. I'm kidding about the tennis, I've played tried tennis and had my ass seriously pounded and handed to me by a few players ha ha!

So Tom gets into explaining how I hurt the guy's feelings. Seriously!? Ok so the guy who wrote the VS story is soft and sensitive but again, it's a forum. You will get challenged! So Tom goes on and on and then I finally tell him my thoughts about this stupid situation.

I told Tom he had a soft spot for bullshitters as he was probably the biggest one himself. I believe it's true! I reminded Tom that he once posted a thread where he had lost weight after being in a wheel chair for one reason or another. I don;t know the whole story about that and it doesn't matter. The fact is that Tom said he competed a SOLO century at 5 hours flat. OK that's Bull Shit! I told him the day he wrote the story and he knew it! I told him he needs to calibrate his computer properly. Nobody goes from a wheel chair and oxygen tank to a solo 5 hour century in a matter of 6 months. That' the truth!

I have spoken with a few riders who have asked me about the ban in person. They agree with me, his story is Bull shit! There really is no argument about that, bulls shit!

So when Tom was asking me to apologize, I said F that! He was showing his soft spot for BS'ers as he was one himself. When I reminded him of his own BS post he banned me saying that I was making fun of his disability. OK now honestly, in my opinion that is not making fun of his disability, it's plain simple fact, he was bullshitting and he knows it! If I said I broke my leg and a week later I claimed to do a 4 hour century, I'm pretty sure I would be challenged as a bullshitters myself.

So Tom gave me a temporary ban and I said F that too! I had contributed a lot of time into the forum and I think I deserve to the right to challenge a bull shit claim without any warnings for hurting some baby's feelings. One that I had just proven a bullshitter! But Tom stuck by his ban so I told him to F off and delete all my postings. Postings of which had attracted 20,000 views per year for their advertisers, sponsors etc.

I can't count the number of forum members I invited and who actually participated on the site. I've organized several forum ride, SoCal rides and even Clydesdale GMR forum rides. Yeah, guys that swore they could never make it up GMR showed up and yes they made it with a little coaching!

OK so I can put something into the forums but the first time I challenge a bull shitter I get a warning? If I bring up Tom's bull shit on his post, I get banned? Funny think is Tom said he banned me because I made fun of his disability! WTF! I told you the truth, had nothing to do with poking fun at disabled people!

On another forum some poster said I should apologize to Tom then they would let me back on the site. You're f'ing kidding right? Turns out Tom had some serious health issues at the time so he was super sensitive about our discussion. I can understand that but honestly, that is not my problem. My point was that his post was BS. Had nothing to do with poking fun at disabled people as he twisted it into another issues other than just plain truth.

So I was a paid member and contributor to the forum but I'm supposed to apologize? F not! I told  that poster that the only way I would come back is if they apologized to me and gave me a free membership as they had stripped away my fees when they banned me for a BS reason.

Wow, Tom really twisted that one around! But whatever. So my beef was with Tom. After he passed I figured since my beef was with him, I'd sign on again. I did and I used an avatar that would nearly give away my identity and spoke of things that also might  give me away. I thought the mod PhotoJoe, a Christian man would recognize me. A couple members did and sent me email saying welcome back. I told them we will see once the mods recognize me, I'd expect they might ban me again.I think he did as next thing I know I'm banned again. I guess PhotoJoe finally caught on and ratted me out ha ha!

Sp I get banned then I contact that Siu Ass Wind or whatever her name is. Apparently, I had started a thread when I first signed back on saying I was a new rider. It was in fun and I was testing the posters to see if they were smart enough to put my avatar together with y post to see if they noticed something funny about my post. So I guess PhotoJoe wasn't smart enough ha ha! Well till some pointed out my real identity, then I get banned. So Siu Ass Wind says I was banned because I started a thread posing as a new rider.

Uh OK whatever! Actually I had never had problems with Siu up to this point. There were a few mods that I actually respected. Another being a lady from the San Diego area IIRC. (CBAD RIDER) She was wise enough to see the truth and my points in some of  the forum conflicts I was involved in. Nice to see someone with a logical mind rather than that like Tom train of thought, "You hurt the guy's feelings, now apologize!".

So Sui asks me why I returned anyway. Well my beef was with Tom, he was a bullshitter. He is no longer a poster or mod on the forum so I returned. But I was banned by Siu for posting as a new rider when I signed back on, how's that?! Sounds like more bull shit to me!  She then tells me how she is disappointed in me after reading what I posted in a forum after my initial ban.

GET THIS! Siu Ass Wind said that she thought I would be happy about Tom's passing! How f'ing stupid is that?! I probably said it before and I'll say it again, Fuck you Sui Ass Wind!

The fact is that I honestly didn't know how sick Tom was. Later I saw his profile on a friend's list on FaceBook. So I looked at his profile then noticed he was in a care unit or something. I contacted him around Christmas when I saw his postings. I noticed he was depressed and ill. I contacted him and offered a few words of encouragement to hang in there. I mentioned how sorry I was for his failing health as nobody wishes this on a person. We exchanged a few messages and even talked about the guitars he received for Christmas. I play little myself so it was a nice conversation. But he did mention a few things about his personal life that made me realize how depressed he was. Wow, pretty sad! But anyway, I saw that my ban was the least of his worries compared to the things he told me.

Yes I thought Tom was a bullshitter as far as cycling but I exchanged messages with the guy long after I think many of his friends quit communicating with him. I saw very little postings on his FB wall near the end. But  I was happy to exchange with him.

So anyway, once Siu Ass wind said that, I knew it was over. Kind of showed me how those mods take their duties a little too personally. Goes straight to their heads, Siu was actually pretty cool back in the day but the things she said to me made me realize this bitch thinks she's god now. Yeah, god alright, but not my god!

I have looked in the forum from time to time and I appreciate those that may leave a pleasant comment or two about my time there. I can see where the forum is slow without my presence. OF course I had the SART thread that lead to many friends on the trail.  Even those that didn't care for me, found friends through my postings. I know Alex has been recognized by a few and built a few friendships. I've met a few guys like Aaron Hultin. Clyde rider who had the balls to conquer GMR and the village. I do miss organizing the Clyde rides and making videos of them conquering GMR. A few SoCal rides too! Not many organized nowadays. Plus the fact that I have info that might be important to the SoCal forum. I have links to GMR where one can find out about the support on GMR type issues. No more SART thread attracting 20,000+ viewers every year.

Well no more of that and I'm glad people recognize it and some miss it! Well that is unless Siu Ass Wind and Photojoe personally apologize  me for their stupidity and ask me to return with a paid membership!

But when you think about it, the name of the game is riding yer bike! I'm still riding and doing a lot more than then sorry ass mods! :-P

Thursday Eve Tandem

I really like wearing ankle reflectors along with all the lights on the bike. The motion really catches the eye of the drivers. Well those that are smart enough to turn on their lights when it gets dark ha ha! Gina really started out grumpy but half way through the ride, she was much better. Hey, that's why we ride! :-P

The reflectors take turns lighting up with the pedaling motion so it's a real eye catcher!

Hot But Better!

Much better today. Aimed for a 35 miler today after yesterday's taxing bike bake ha ha! A better 16.3 average over yesterdays' struggle to hold 14. Tried to hold the pace down today for a few reasons. Aimee was on vacation and hasn't been on the bike for 5 weeks. Plus we were using it as a recovery type ride after a rough ride yesterday. We did run into Fabulous Frank today at the coast. Joaquin showed up and rode back with us after his ride on GMR yesterday, to the shack.  Gina felt much better and so did I. Of course we started an hour and a half earlier which made a difference and it was about 12 to 13 degrees cooler than yesterday. Only 91 average today compared to yesterday's 103.

I did wear my pretty in pink jersey today ha ha! A little more snug fitting than my usual Performance club cut jerseys but it worked. Gina said it looked good so it's all good! I posted the pink jersey pic on my Facebook. I had one comment that might have been questionable but 90% of my friends on FB are relatives. My cousins have been big supporters of the Relay For Life cancer walks and activities. They have been in a few newspapers as one of the big fund raising teams. In total I'm guessing over $60,000 raised for the cancer society. So I might get one questionable comment but I have 2 really close cousins who are cancer survivors so I have a ton of encouraging comments ha ha! So don't laugh at my "pretty in pink jersey" he he he! :-P

Funny though! Today I saw several riders I knew and waved or shouted, "wassup!". It took a few seconds for them to realize it was me as most had their attention focused on the pink jersey ha ha!

Freakin' HOT Gina Birthday Miles!

53 miles as a birthday ride for Gina. Just us too today. Found rather quickly we were a couple of the very few out there today. While riding I saw my Garmin rise to 108 on the bike. Got home and plugged in to see the numbers!  Checked out the weather channel and saw it was 103 today.

Poor Gina really suffered. Half way through the ride I offered to call it quits but she said no, we've come this far!

It was hot, arms fatigued and hard breathing but we got it done. It was like riding in slow motion but we got it done. Gina is such a trooper!

I had a little fun as she let me splash her down a few times along the way!

Numbers!

Cancer awareness jersey came in the mail today. Not bad, $39. Gina will find something pink to wear on the tandem with me. @XL is the biggest they had. A little snug but OK. Motivation to drop another 10 pounds! That is a gathering at the belly, not my fat belly button ha ha!
