Saturday, Sunday, and Food

 40 solo on Saturday  up to Azusa mountains.  20 on Sunday to Bellflower.  Good riding but felt a bit chili. 

Otherwise,  just working learning this programming stuff . Friday like 10 pages of notes, videos but I got this.  Created my first program to measure a part. Small but I did it!

Just some riding,  eating 😋 with Gina and her Mom. Saturday at Casa Jimenez in Claremont,  the best one. Sunday just Gina and I at Black Angus.  I'm going to say I enjoy outback better now. But just mixing it up enjoying life.

Oh yeah, cut my own hair again.  Some 24 yo chick at work, never says much to anybody, comes up to me saying my haircut looks great. I  explain that I did it myself.  Then she says she just wants me to know that I did a great job and that I look very handsome.  Hey  still got it and I'll be 60 this month.

 Solo 40 on Saturday then another solo 20 today,  Sunday. Cruised o the way out today just trying to get I 20 miles.  As I stopped to turn around, a paceline of about 20 riders, male and 2 female went flying by. I turned around to chase them but they saw me and picked it up.  I just kept hammering .  They pulled away some, about 100 yards ahead.  

    I  thought maybe I might not catch them the a second later  I saw the back rider drop off. Well yeah buddy, I can at least catch him. Getting closer about 50 yards back, I saw the line break up. 

    Next thing I know I've passed about 10 of the riders. Reminded me of the group rides I used to do. Everyone would start out racing then a few miles later, 20 of the 25 riders were toast.

    I  kept on then finally passed the first three.  As I rolled by, one guy asked if he could connect a line to my bike.  I kept on the realized they fell back. I  stopped at a park to water up seeing them roll by. I thought about going to the restroom but thought   what the heck?

     I jumped back on my bike then chased them down again.  Easier this time seeing they were broken up. When I got to the sole lead rider  I went around spinning in my 39 ring. After I was ahead about 30 yards,  he tried keeping up. After about a mile he was still there   surprisingly,  so I went to the big ring to hammer him. 

    He started falling behind then once at the dark tunnel, I actually stood up hammering up the short steep grade. I rarely stand but wanted to hammer  the final nail into the coffin ⚰️ 

    I pulled far ahead then funny, he pulled into the same parking lot at the end of his ride. I  looked over at him to say hey  but he didn't even acknowledge me. Bad sport haha ha.

Today was fueled by Chinese food last night.

Solo Saturday 40

 Solo 40 miles today.  Pico to the base of the mountains and back.  Testing the Aerotech shorts on the first day of the weekend.  I'd say they're better on the first day long ride than the second day short ride. I  thought the Black Bibs were better at first but now I'm thinking Aerotech is edging them out. 

Had this lingering cough for a while,  had a sore throat over a month ago thinking it would end but the nagging cough is still hanging out to annoy me.  

Great thing about my medical insurance from work.  A service called Teledoc.  I call in, give information to a representative then they get a focus to call me.  Haven't had to wait more than a couple minutes. 

I tell him I'm not feeling good then they email me a doctors note for work.  All no charge through my insurance. 

Well,  I called then they sent a prescription to the local CVS pharmacy.  Hour later,  I got some medicine to help me get over this nagging cough.  Would have been $30 but with my plan,  only $1.50.  Not bad!

Gotta love this employer. 😀 

Ravioli last night to fuel the ride.  Took Gina's mother and brother to Steak Corral on Thursday 

 Then some made to order fresh food at China Point after my Saturday ride because Gina's Mom loves Chinese food 😋 

Just having fun enjoying life working hard breaking my back working on these little itty-bitty plastic parts. 

Funny thing working with slackers,  young people don't know what hard work is and really suck if you ask me. 

Well good for me,  doing well racking in the bucks as a Metrologist.  But now the bosses want me to learn the programming part of CMM and Micro Vu measuring equipment.  I got a rep at work,  if you want something done,  Beanz is the guy. 

I'm making good money but the bosses knowing I do a majority of the work want to train me to program.  I started learning on Monday and it ain't all that hard. Actually much like my photo and editing programs.  

The guys say from what they've seen of me, I'm going to be correcting their mistakes.  I have no doubt. 😄

But programmers there make $70,000 plus and other places up to $120,000. 

I plan to get my share cause this is some easy sheot if you know blueprints. 

Solo Sunday

 An easy 20 solo miles to relax the legs.  Of course the wind doesn't help.  

On top of the world baby! 🌎 When the job goes well, the money rolls in and you can do any freaking thing you want.  

Job going well.  Teaching the young guys about work ethics.  So sad young people nowadays really don't know what hard work is. I'm working half speed and they think I'm a machine.  I have to work half speed or I'd end up doing everything.  Leaving some work for them so they can be reminded of how much they suck ha ha ha.

Got a new guy, over paid and half ass worker but he programs the computers, CMM,  Micro vu, etc. 

Bosses know I do a bulk of the work and much better about detail than my two coworkers in my department.  So they're bugging me to learn the programming part. Uh yeah but the programmers are making $70k to $100k. And though I'm making good money now, I'll be getting my share if they want their programs to have the Mr.Beanz touch. 💰 

Otherwise   just having fun enjoying life. 😉

Oh, that expensive cycling cream Stuff. Overpriced.  $15 for 3 Oz. The Walmart stuff, 16 Oz for $6 works better imo. I only bought the blue steel cream to put my shipping order in free delivery range. 

Mennen Speedstick $1.50 and Walmart cream are tops.
